Well, it’s fair to say that Reading Ireland Month 2024 is going out with a whimper rather than a bang.

I have been quite sick since around the first week of March and am still on the wrong side of well. I always under estimate the work it takes to host a challenge month, so have been unable to keep up with my Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter or reviewing.
I have four books waiting for review, but just don’t have the energy or mental capacity to write anything at the moment. With just one day of the month to go, it looks like I’ll be extending my Irish reading on into April to catch up. If you’ll be doing the same, then do continue to tag me in any Reading Ireland related posts.
Having said that, the month has been a great success thanks to all you wonderful bloggers! There have been a whopping 101 posts and you can see them all here. Once again, thanks to everyone who posted, tweeted, retweeted, commented and generally made March another great month of reading and blogging!
I don’t have too many plans for the next few months. I will be continuing my Year With John Banville and am going to take part in the 1937 Club hosted by Kaggsy’s Bookish Ramblings and Stuck in a Book and for that I am planning to read two dramatically themed books: Theatre by W. Somerset Maugham and and Hamlet, Revenge! by Michael Innes.

Other than that, my main focus is to knock some more titles off the 746 and make some plans for 20 Books of Summer, which will kick off in June! And, yes, I am so sad that I’ve already started making that reading list!
Go raibh maith agaibh go léir (thank you all!) for making this Reading Ireland Month a great one x
